DEFIANCE, now in its second season on Syfy Channel, concerns an Earth approximately thirty-five years after seven different types of aliens, known collectively as the Votan, crash-landed on Earth. The Votan have issues with each other, as well as with humans, who – as always – also have issues with one another. In Syfy’s new series DEFIANCE, in its first season Monday nights at 9 and already renewed for a second season, a spaceship carrying seven different alien races, collectively known as the Votan, crashed to Earth and caused massive changes in the landscape.
