ROBIN OF SHERWOOD is a singular version of the Robin Hood legend, made for British television, that ran originally ran in the U.K. on ITV and in the U.S. on Showtime from 1984 through 1986. The legend of Robin Hood, the outlaw leader who robs from the rich and gives to the poor, possibly dates back to thirteenth-century mummers plays.
