As a composer with a sensibility as rhythmic as it is eccentrically loopy, Devotchka’s Nick Urata has captured the ups and downs of adult relationships with such charming scores as CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE, RUBY SPARKS and ARTHUR NEWMAN. Recently Fox Searchlight Pictures held the Los Angeles Premiere of RUBY SPARKS at the Lloyd E. Rigler Theatre at The Egyptian in Hollywood. RUBY SPARKS is the story of Calvin (Paul Dano), a young novelist who after achieving success early in his career finds himself struggling with his writing and his romantic life.
