NEXT, premiering Tuesday, October 6 on Fox, is a thriller about an artificial intelligence program (aka AI) that has achieved superintelligence. This terrifies its creator, Paul LeBlanc (John Slattery), who teams up with a Homeland Security cybercrime task force in an attempt to stop the AI from advancing a homicidal agenda. In 24: LEGACY, the Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU) is once again fending off crises in one-hour real-time installments Monday nights on Fox Network. Newly-returned U.S. Army Ranger Eric Carter, played by Corey Hawkins, is recruited by the agency. He’s learning the ropes of what Jack Bauer used to do, with emergency on-the-job training. On BBC America’s COPPER, which has its first-season finale tonight at 10 PM, Tom Weston-Jones plays the title character, Kevin Corcoran. Corcoran is a police detective who patrols the extremely mean streets of the Five Points neighborhood in 1864 New York. He gets a lot of help from two fellow Union Civil War veterans.
