Clark Gregg is having a busy fourth season on MARVEL’S AGENTS OF SHIELD, Tuesday nights on ABC. As S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson, formerly the director of the organization, he’s back to running things behind the scenes, even though Jeffrey Mace (Jason O’Mara) is still technically in charge of the agency that monitors – and sometimes rescues – super-inhumans. Clark Gregg’s character S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson was first introduced to audiences in the original IRON MAN film. Coulson has subsequently helped superheroes and director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) in IRON MAN 2, THOR and in the animated ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN series. Coulson was tragically killed by Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in writer/director Joss Whedon’s THE AVENGERS, but he’s back as the team leader on ABC’s AGENTS OF SHIELD, Tuesdays at 8 PM. He got a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his work as a military bomb-defusing expert in THE HURT LOCKER and he’s had key roles in SWAT – alongside THE AVENGERS colleague Samuel L.
