TV Review: FRINGE – Season 3 – “6:02 AM EST”

Cast: Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble, Lance Reddick, Jasika Nicole Writers: David Wilcox, Josh Singer, Graham Roland Director: Jeannot Szwarc Network: Fox, Airs on Fridays Original Telecast: April 22, 2011 I guess I am a bit confused about FRINGE “6:02 AM EST” in that I never knew that Faux-livia (Anna Torv) actually gave a rat’s ass about “over here.” Everything we saw from her during her time on our side showed someone that was completely devoid of any feelings for the people over here. She killed people in cold blood. She betrayed and tricked Peter (Joshua Jackson) a number […]Read On »

On FRINGE, now in its third season and renewed for a fourth on Fox on Friday nights, there are two parallel universes. In ours, brilliant but mentally unstable Dr. Walter Bishop (John Noble) long ago found a way to travel between the two, with lingering terrifying results. His son Peter (Joshua Jackson), who is really from the other universe, and FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) often enlist Walter in investigating strange phenomenon. In the other universe, another Walter Bishop (Noble again) runs the government and feels he needs to destroy our reality to protect his own, while another […]Read On »

TV Review: FRINGE – Season 3 – “Lysergic Acid Diethlamide”

Bell and Walter race to save Olivia in FRINGE - Season 3 - "Lysergic Acid Diethylamide" | ©2011 Fox

Cast: Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble, Lance Reddick, Jasika Nicole Director: Joe Chappelle Writers: Jeff Pinkner, J.H. Wyman, Avika Goldman Network: Fox, airs Fridays Original Telecast: April 15, 2011 This was certainly an interesting episode of FRINGE. A tripping Peter (Joshua Jackson), a tripping Broyles (Lance Reddick), cartoons, the Twin Towers, a dead fat guy doing a dance in a tub of ice, zombies, animated birds flying and bubbles were just some of the highlights. Yeah, the comedy was fast and furious, but it did the job in progressing the whole William Bell trapped in Olivia’s (Anna Torv) body. […]Read On »

While speaking with FRINGE executive producers Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman this morning, they revealed a tiny bit about what the Season 3 finale plans will be. “We have sort of approached each end of season to be the end of story for year and also open up the door and imply and be first taste of what next seasons story telling would be,” says Wyman. “We believe this season finale does that. Hopefully it will be wholly unexpected and recontexualize the story of Season 3 in a way and be mind-blowing.” Wyman does confirm an important character will die, […]Read On »

Could FRINGE be pulling a LOST and charting its end game now? While speaking with FRINGE executive producers Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman this morning, they won’t be going the LOST route, but they do have plans for where this is all heading. “I think we have an ending in mind,” says Wyman. “And we’ve said this before. We have this  file folder. There are chapters we can tell to round out that ending and we can drop in to get to that ending that aren’t required for the storytelling to work and be satisfying. One of the advantages to […]Read On »

In the two seasons V has been on the air on ABC, we’ve seen 1980s V stars Jane Badler and Marc Singer make significant appearances (with Singer potentially coming back for a major recurring role if Season 3 is picked up). The big question though is who else would Scott Rosenbaum (executive producer and V showrunner) like to bring back? “I would actually like to bring some of the actors back from [the original V series] if there is a Season 3,” Rosenbaum reveals. “I would definitely love to have Michael Ironside and I would love to have Robert Englund. While speaking to the press at WonderCon 2011 in San Francisco today, we grilled V executive producer Scott Rosenbaum about whether or not there will be a third season of the cult ABC series. The answer was simple. “We do not know about a third season at this point,” Rosenbaum admits. However, if there is a V Season 3, Rosenbaum is excited by all the possibilities that the season 2 finale “Mother’s Day” left open. “I am most excited about it more than I have ever been, because [V] has gotten to a place at the end of this season, […]Read On »
