The premise of ABC’s new half-hour comedy SELFIE, premiering Tuesday September 30 at 8 PM, may sound a little familiar to anyone familiar with the musical MY FAIR LADY and/or its play progenitor PYGMALION, though there’s a contemporary twist. BONES, which runs Mondays at 8 PM on Fox, is now in its eighth season. The series chronicles the personal and professional relationship of FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and forensic pathologist Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel) as they solve murders. In third season, Brennan’s lab assistant Zack Addy (Eric Milligan) was committed to a mental institution. ABC’s freshman comedy SUBURGATORY, which runs Wednesdays at 8:30 PM, has already been renewed for a second season. The show, created by Emily Kapnek, is genuinely funny and features a great cast, headed up by Jane Levy as teenage protagonist Tessa Altman. ABC made some bold moves with its Fall 2011 Schedule today in New York for the annual upfronts. The biggest new is Tim Allen is returning to ABC with his LAST MAN STANDING comedy, while a reboot of CHARLIE’S ANGELES anchors Thursday nights at 8:00.
