SHARKNADO, the movie about a tornado full of sharks that decimates Los Angeles, has been all over social media, radio and TV since its debut on Syfy Channel on July 11. Syfy has run the film twice since then, to bigger ratings each time. Now SHARKNADO and recently stormed into 200 movie theatres across the U.S. for a midnight showing this past Friday. A one-night only Midnight screening SHARKNADO theatrical event is coming on August 2 to select Regal Cinemas, Edwards and UA Theaters. In its first airing on Syfy Channel, Thursday July 11 at 9 PM, SHARKNADO was generating five thousand Tweets per minute on Twitter. The movie, about a tornado that deposits ravenous sharks all over Los Angeles, was written by Thunder Levin and directed by Anthony C. Ferrante.
