Actor J. August Richards has played a number of lawyers (in CONVICTION, RAISING THE BAR, THE DEFENDERS, and NOTORIOUS) and doctors (in GREY’S ANATOMY and COUNCIL OF DADS), along with a sheriff’s deputy (in KEVIN [PROBABLY] SAVES THE WORLD) and a cyborg superhero (in AGENTS OF SHIELD). However, Richards is perhaps best known and loved for costarring as heroic vampire hunter Charles Gunn on ANGEL for that show’s five seasons, from 2000 through 2004.
