TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE just premiered its newest incarnation on Netflix on Friday, February 18. It’s directed by David Blue Garcia from a screenplay by Chris Thomas Devlin, from a story by Fede Alvarez & Rodo Sayagues, based on characters created by Kim Henkel & Tobe Hooper. This TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE is a direct sequel to the 1974 original, directed by Tobe Hooper. The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films recently held the 39th Annual Saturn Awards at The Castaway Starlight Ballroom in Burbank. It was a beautiful day and night high in the hills of Burbank. This award show is not televised, and honors a genre that the main award shows generally overlook. The host for the awards was Lance Reddick (FRINGE) and the awards were dedicated to Ray Harryhausen, who passed away May 7, 2013.  Richard Matheson who was to receive The Visionary Award this night, also passed away June 23, 2013.
