Syfy’s miniseries ASCENSION, which runs in three two-hour blocks this week, is set in space – in the present. In creator Adrian Cruz’s premise, President Kennedy secretly authorized a project to send a number of people on what will be a hundred-year mission to reach the nearest inhabitable planet, which will be the salvation of the human race if Earth is destroyed by the nuclear threat that then seemed imminent. Columbia Pictures and Marvel Entertainment held The World Premiere of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood on June 28th. Peter Parker is back, but this time Andrew Garfield assumes the role. This film focuses on an untold story of Peter Parker and how he got to be the person he is today.
