20th Century Fox held the premiere for INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE on June 20th, but before the premiere a special HAND AND FOOTPRINT CEREMONY was held in the foyer of the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX for Roland Emmerich to honor him for his work in the film industry. He joins the many stars whose hand & footprints tourists flock to Hollywood to see every year. DreamWorks Animation held the Los Angeles Premiere of PUSS IN BOOTS on October 23rd at the Regency Theater in Westwood. Closing the street where the theater is located, the “beige” carpet, had backdrops that looked like sets from the film. Costumed PUSS IN BOOTS and Kitty Softpaws walked the carpet, plus before the premiere started Spanish dancers came down the carpet. Fans lined the street to see the stars and guests that attended this early Sunday morning premiere.
