Marvel Studios and Columbia Pictures presented the World Premiere of SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING on June 28th at The TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. This highly anticipated premiere closed down Hollywood Boulevard, which had fans on one side of the street screaming as the stars arrived. The press, and there were many filled the carpet. Photographers were in three pens they were so many of us. On July 29th a big party was held by CBS/The CW/Showtime for the Television Critics Annual Summer Press Tour at The Event, which is actually the upper parking lot where the department store Robinson’s/May in Beverly Hills used to be. Disney • Pixar held the World Premiere of MONSTERS UNIVERSITY, June 17th at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. It was a big premiere with the blue carpet running almost the whole block from Highland to Orange closing down Hollywood Blvd., which also included a Tailgate event with games and food for the guests. As usual it was lots of press, photographers and fans. Disney held the World Premiere of OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL recently at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. Before the premiere started a big blue balloon was blown up and James Franco climbed on board. This was for the opening scene of the Jimmy Kimmel Show, which he was a guest later on in the evening. Warner Bros. held the Los Angeles World Premiere of GREEN LANTERN June 15th at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Fans were everywhere you looked as Hollywood Boulevard was closed to traffic.
